Institute for Apostolic Leadership

The IAL is a cohort-based initiative to immerse parishes and schools in the Three Essential Principles for transformation. It reflects the efforts we put into our Mission Guiding work through a year-long cohort effort, typically engaging 4-6 teams at a time. At its core, the IAL helps leadership teams grow in their discipleship together, renew their minds about leading and ministering in an apostolic mode, and develop strategies and pathways to make disciples in their parish or school community. The IAL’s format is flexible based upon the needs of the group but is often completed over 4 four-day sessions in a 12-month period.

Some key areas of emphasis are:

  • Shifting from a Christendom to an Apostolic mode of engagement

  • Opportunities for renewal of the mind on leadership, teamwork, and the work of the Holy Spirit to empower us for mission

  • Building a real missional culture within the staff and key volunteers

  • Individual and team healing

  • Strategic and organizational clarity for the parish or school's unique mission

  • The ability to run effective meetings and manage teammates well

  • Building a pathway for discipleship
